Many people take care of themselves in order to slow down the inevitable process of aging, or to improve their appearance. And many do it well, let’s not deny it. Some use creams, masks, facial massages (including through mesorollers), as well as resort to the help of injections of useful or not so useful substances, plastic surgery. But supporters of facial fitness say that if you do it every day, most of these means simply will not be needed.
What is it? Everyone who uses this technique, gives it its own name – yoga for the face, aerobics for the face, fitness for the face, exercise for the facial muscles and others. The essence is the same – it is a special set of exercises for 15-20 minutes to strengthen facial muscles, improve microcirculation of natural fluids, adjust the removal of excess fluid and other products of metabolism from the intercellular space and restore the flow of lymph and venous circulation with lymph drainage. For some, this type of fitness becomes a supportive gymnastics after major plastic surgery. The author of the canons of facial fitness is Carol Maggio, who published the book “Aerobics for Skin and Facial Muscles” in 2015.
How facial fitness is beneficial
As we have long known from medical research, there are 400 to 850 muscles per average person, and almost 25 percent of these muscles are located in the neck and face area. True, their constant activity is not always for the good. It is a problem for a woman’s beauty – wrinkles appear on the face and the skin sags.
According to face-fitness trainers, visual aging can be if not stopped, then at least slowed down. Does it really work? Yes, it works. But, as is often the case, there is one big but – you have to observe a lot of conditions. According to Faceday club methodology you should eat only fat-free and non-salted food, sleep not on stomach and not on back, but on sides in fetal position – as if this slows down aging of face and neck skin, take care of your posture and not to hold a book in your lap when reading it (because of that appears second chin).
Facial fitness contributes to a better understanding of the physical processes that occur in the skin of the face, understanding your beauty, and that you need to take care of yourself and love yourself. Do not expect much from it – it will not make you a beautiful woman in a matter of days, you need to visit a beautician, to perform a set of procedures, prescribed by them, to follow all the prescriptions for facial care – to peel and scrub, if you have dry skin, moisturize it and protect it from the sun, control the production of sebum.
Surprisingly, facial fitness can also be dangerous. There are few contraindications to its use, but they exist – skin diseases, diseases of the facial nerves (they can increase against a background of intense nervous activity). It is also contraindicated in patients with impaired cerebral circulation and hypertension, as the relatively strong stress on the muscles of the face and neck can lead to malaise and even death. So be careful.
Stars who are confusing about face fitness
This kind of peculiar sport did not arise out of nowhere. Its popularity grew significantly when the stars started talking about it. Of Russian celebrities, Vera Brezhneva, for example, has been spotted in it, who, according to her, regularly practices facial gymnastics along with the usual yoga and proper nutrition. She is sure that facial fitness helps her to retain her beauty and get rid of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Such celebrities as Edita Pieha, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston are also fond of face fitness. Naturally, against such a background, many Russian and not only everyman interested in the star technique to maintain facial tone.
In conclusion, I would like to say that in the first place you should pay attention to your lifestyle – only then can this technique rejuvenate you.
